12/15/2016 0 Comments Tri 2 blog post 3 In this article, they are talking about the 8 life skills you need to have by the age of 18. They are, to be able to talk to strangers, Find their way around a campus or twon, manage work loads and assignments, contribute to the running of a household, deal with interpersonal problems, cope with ups and downs in their lives, earn and manage money, and take risks. These 8 things are exremely important if you want to be successful as an adult.
Most parents wouldn't think to start making kids deal with these things on their own until its almost too late, so I think this article can help a lot of parents see what they need to have their kids work on and what they are already good at. Right now, I can do some of these things and some i'm still working on, but to the help of my parents, they had me start talking to people and help contribute to the household chores when I was younger so I can improve over the years, but some of these I am not too good at yet, such as earning and managing money, whenever I get money I tend to spend it on whatever I see first, so that's something I can work on. 12/9/2016 0 Comments A rule at school that i don´t likeA rule at school that I don´t like is that we can't wear hats. I mean it is reasonable because teachers and staff need to be able to identify anybody that walks into our school, for saftey purposes but in class we still aren't allowed to wear hats even after we were let inside and we were identifed, which I think is pretty bogus. If we take off the hat/hood right as we walk in so teachers could see that it is a student that goes to South East, and then put it back on I would be fine with that and I think we should be able to do that because someetimes you have an outfit that just works best with a hat, but you aren't allowed to wear a hat so that outfit is kinda just out of the picture, or sometimes you're just having a bad hair day and need a hat to cover your hair up. Or, you might just simply want to wear a hat or a hood.
