11/9/2016 0 Comments Presidential election Honestly, I do not really have a big opinion on this because I don´t exactly know enough about it to have a big opinion. I mean, if I was old enough to vote I would vote for Trump. Not because I think he would be a great president, because I am voting against Hillary. I personally think that she should be in jail, but like I said, It doesn´t really matter to me. Yes, I get that Trump has done some pretty bad things, but at the same time so has Hillary so its two sided. Neither of them truly deserve to be president, but there itsn´t really anything that we can do about it at this point.
But, I don´t think its okay for some people to get mad at others for their political beliefs, what people believe is their own choice, and they should not be judged for these beliefs. If you do not agree with it, that is one thing but to call people names and be rude to them just because you do not agree with them, Is not okay. Also, (this is just something I've seen a lot and it bugs me) When people say ¨Im moving to Canada because trump won!!¨ I mean if you are a kid you really cannot do that because at this age, you can´t even move out of your house yet, or even hold a dog without parental supervision at Petland, so no its pretty clear you are not moving to Canada. That is all I have to say about this election.

10/20/2016 9 Comments Choice blog For this weeks blog, I have chosen to write about Crocs. When I was little, I used to have about 3 different pairs of Crocs, and my brother, mom and dad had them too. My mom still has her Crocs, but they don´t fit her anymore and they don´t fit me either or else I would have taken them. I remember when I was little I lost a pair of my Crocs so my dad took me to get some new ones, I got some pink ones with the little button attachment things you can put on them. Later that day, we went out on our boat and I wore my new Crocs, but then while we were on the boat one of my Crocs flew out of the boat, and the only other thing I remember about it is that I cried until my dad and I went to get new ones that same night.
Also, I have always been curious on how Crocs were made, or why they were made. Did someone one day just say ¨I think I am going to create some new rubbery thingy shoes, and call them Crocs¨ or was there some serious thought process within this? I at the moment do not own any pairs of Crocs because I grew out of all my old ones, but if I had one wish it would be to have a pair of Crocs in every color, but get my first pair blue. I hope this blog post inspires you all to get a pair of Crocs. 10/11/2016 0 Comments The Elevator1. What do you learn about the main character, Martin, in the exposition? In the exposition, I learned that Martin is a young, skinny boy that just moved into a new apartment with his father, and that Martin also feels uncomfortable in the apartment elevator. 3. What internal conflict is plaguing Martin in lines 81-84? The internal conflict plaguing Martin is Martin doesn´t want to take the elevator because of the old lady, so he considers the stairs. But he also doesn´t just want to chicken out because he doesn´t want to be worse than all the names other kids call him at school. 4. What details in lines 88-105 help to create suspense about what might happen? Some details that helped create suspense are when the author says the elevator starts to tremble and go up. Martin also says that her eyes were staring dead on at him and she was blinking slower than usual, on and off. 7. Judging only by line 175, the climax of the story, is Martin in danger? Explain your opinion. No, I do not think Martin is in danger judging by line 175 because nobody ever said that the lady in the elevator with him is a bad women, and nobody else sees her besides Martin so how does he know that she actually is real? And if she isn´t real, how could she harm him? 8. The author ends this story at the climax. What is your opinion of the plot's development and of leaving the conflict unresolved? Explain. I personally don´t really like the way the author ended the story, at the climax. I don´t like it because I am the type of person that doesn´t like to be left in suspense, and that is exactly what this author did. I think its important to be able to make big decisions as a president. The reason I think this is because if you are controlling a whole country, you have to be able to make decisions that will be best for the whole country, not just one little part of it. If you don´t know how to make a smart decision for the country, there is a lot of bad things that could happen so that is very important.
Another important thing in a president is being smart. If you are president, you have to smart in many ways, such as economically, being able to handle all of the money and taxes, and being people smart, being able to handle the bad people, (like ISIS) It is also important to be able to put other people before yourself. If you are president, you are in control of a whole country, like I said earlier. You can not just do whatever you want because it will be best for your friends and family, it has to be best for the country. Now it might not always be best for every single person in the country, but my point is you can´t just be making decisions and doing things just for yourself. ps- I know we are supposed to do three but I have a fourth, you have to be young enough to be able to run the country for the full four years, (or 8) without dying because you are too old and all of the pressure makes you die earlier. But you also have to be old enough to be well respected. The first three things that I would do if I was given 1 million dollars would be 1) Buy the mansion on Newport road 2) Build a new animal shelter, and 3) Go to Florida for a few weeks with my best friend, and get a pet pelican, buy a beach house, and go to a Lana Del Ray concert.
I would buy the mansion on Newport road because i´ve always wanted to go in that house because it's huge, but being able to live in it would be even better. I only have 3 other people in my family, but if I wanted to have people over we would have enough room for a lot of people to come over, and that house has a huge yard, and my dad loves to have a big yard so he can garden and he loves the outdoors, but we would have enough space to put a pool and still have room for a yard so our whole family is happy. I would want to build another animal shelter because I am a huge fan of animals, and I think that it is just as important for them to be living healthy and loved, as it is for humans so by building a new shelter and providing all the needs for them would make me very happy and make me feel like i´m spending my money wisely. And lastly, I would want to go to Florida with my best friend, Isabella and stay there for a while. The reason for that is because when we went to Florida together when I was in 6th grade, we had a really fun time, and we made a bunch of plans together to come back and live there together and go to college there. Buying a beach house would be fun because we could go up to Florida more often and not have to spend so much money on hotel rooms. Last time we went, we saw pelicans and we decided that when we move to Florida we would get a pet pelican together, and name it Jerry. So why not get it now? And lastly, we would go to a Lana Del Ray concert together because when we went, we were both so obsessed with Lana, that she was all we listened to, so going to a concert of hers would bring back some really fun memories. 9/15/2016 0 Comments September 15th, 2016a. How do you know if something is worth effort? Give an example of a time when you worked hard for something. Why was it worth it?
I know something is worth effort because its normally something or someone that I care about a lot. I worked hard for my grades because I care about getting good grades. It was worth it because my mom pays me if I get a 4.0 b. How do you judge someone? For example, if you said "She is a confident person," how would you make that judgement? Have you ever misjudged someone? Normally, people are judged off of first impressions. So if you were to say that someone is a confident person, that person probably looks very confident. I have misjudged someone before because sometimes someone might look like a very shy person when you first meet them, but when you get to know them they are actually very outgoing. c. Give an example of an Aha Moment you recently had. (Think of the "lightbulb" going off right above your head) How did this change your situation? d. Think of someone (or yourself) that may have a disability. How has this disability affected how this person is judged (or explain maybe how it doesn't). I know a girl who is 16, named Anna who is my moms friends daughter. She has a mental disability, but she doesn´t let that get to her. It does not bother her because she knows along with everyone else around her, that she is a very smart and outgoing person, inside and out. 9/14/2016 0 Comments Raymondś Run1. Aha moment... In 2-5 sentences describe the "Aha Moment" from Raymond's Run.
The aha moment is when Raymond´s sister is running and she sees Raymond on the sideline kind of mimicking her. At this point, she realizes that Raymond is more than just a ¨little¨ brother that she has to babysit all the time. She starts to think about how he is her brother, and shes proud to have him as a brother. 2. Plot... Think of the various components of Plot and briefly describe each in Raymond's Run. -Exposition: Raymond is a kid with a younger sister that has to take care of him because Raymond has a big head as a result of hydrocephalus -Rising Action: Squeaky is getting ready to run and is doing breathing excersizes and she is listening to the mean girls talk about her and her brother, thinking that they don´t know enough about them to judge her. -Climax: She runs the race and she sees Raymond mimicking her, but this time she doesn´t think to yell at him to stop. -Falling Action: -Resolution 3.
